Waves of Wonder, the new brand slogan for Taiwan Tourism, captures the essence of seasonal travel across Taiwan. Travelers interested in visiting Taiwan can learn more through an animated short film and promotional song. As travel to Taiwan surges post-pandemic and Taipei Taoyuan International Airport expands operations, tourism in the country delivers a richer array of travel experiences as it innovates toward sustainability and digitization.
The TAIWAN – Waves of Wonder brand overhaul — its first since 2011’s introduction of Taiwan – The Heart of Asia — captures the focus of “Enjoy the Mountains, Embrace the Sea, and Explore the Island” by incorporating the dynamic contours of Taiwan’s mountains, the charm of its oceans, and its winding roads and railways in the wave-like designs of the logo. Dentsu and Bito collaborated on the logo, while renowned Taiwanese musician Chris Hou composed the new Taiwan Tourism theme song for the third time. The branding overall is a true convergence of top talents from various industries in Taiwan, shining brightly in their collective efforts.
As people seek out purposeful travel, Taiwan invites international travelers to experience its charms year-round. In celebration of the new brand launch, Taipei 101 showcased the new brand logo to travelers.
The launch was attended by Deputy Secretary-General of the Executive Yuan Lee Guo-Shin, Administrative Deputy Minister of Transportation Lin Kuo-Shian, Director-General of the Taiwan Tourism Administration Chou Yung-hui, and notable representatives from industry and academia.
