Celebrate pride in Israel this summer at the annual Tel Aviv Summer Pride Festival. This year, the event will take place June 4–14. It is expected to draw more than 30,000 international visitors to Tel Aviv.
The festival will focus on raising awareness of the transgender community, its challenges, accomplishments and culture. Many LGBT events will be held during the 11-day festival including a Gay Film Festival, Gay Expo at the Dizengoff Center and beach parties at Hilton Beach. Additional cultural, artistic and nightlife outings in bars, clubs, restaurants and other venues occur throughout the city. The Tel Aviv Gay Center organizes the event.
The Pride Parade is the highlight of the festival. It will kick off June 12 at Gan Me’ir Park and ends with a beach party. This year’s theme is Tel Aviv Loves All Genders. It will focus on the contribution of the transgender community to Tel Aviv. The parade is expected to draw 120,000 participants, including 25,000 tourists.
Tel Aviv Summer Pride Festival wraps up with a special bike tour that starts in Jaffa, moves through the Promenade and city center then concludes with a sunset cocktail party.
