Housed inside the Terrain at Styer’s nature-inspired home décor and garden store, the Garden Café is a rustic dining venue serving hand-selected local produce, meats and dairy products for lunch, dinner and brunch. I had the pleasure of visiting the restaurant for brunch on a beautiful Sunday afternoon when the space was decked out with bright flowers and filled with warm summer sunshine.
As the restaurant is BYOB, we enjoyed Champagne with fresh-squeezed orange juice while we noshed on warm bread baked in a cute flowerpot served with delicious lavender butter. To start, we ordered the cheese and charcuterie assortment and enjoyed every bite of the fresh local ingredients.
For my entrée, I chose the organic omelet, featuring roasted mushrooms, arugula and goat cheese, though the berries and cream brioche French toast with berry compote, crème fraiche and pecan crumble looked equally tempting. The delectable omelet was served with a petite salad and potato hash that left me perfectly full and not overly stuffed. I sampled and was impressed with my dining companion’s Terrain burger, featuring spicy onion marmalade, romaine, whole-grain mustard and smoked gouda on a fluffy brioche bun, served with sinfully good house-cut fries.
Post-brunch we walked off our delicious meal ambling through Terrain, admiring all the gorgeous home décor and deciding what kind of flowers to take home.
