The Beale Street Music Festival lights up Memphis April 29 through May 1. Conveniently located where so much soul, blues and rock music originated, the event draws in around 1 million people every year for the three-day festival.
The lineup this year does not disappoint with a mix of all genres from R&B, classic bluegrass and rock with modern pop, country and alternative; there is something for every music fan to enjoy.
This year marks the festival’s 40th anniversary and music fans will get to see the living legends Paul Simon and Neil Young headline with more modern and contemporary talent leading up to the main event.
While available, tickets span from $5 for single-venue shows to $625 for the full experience, with a range of ticket levels in between. Any genre from electronic, pop, rock and indie, you name it and The Beale Street Festival has it and music fanatics know it.
The Beale Street Music Festival will be held in downtown Memphis at Tom Lee Park. The 25-acre park overlooks the Mississippi River and bumps up against the historic Beale Street making this event a melding of Memphis culture and historic landmarks.
This festival is not only having a milestone anniversary, but offers amazing music, food and vendors for fans all over the country. The experience of the event outweighs the cost and with such an amazing lineup and killer venue, this festival is definitely worth the trip.
