Box subscriptions are a trend that’s completely taken the consumer market by storm over the last year or so. Everyone loves receiving old-fashioned snail mail, especially when it’s a surprising package full of his or her favorite things. If there’s something you love, you can find a box subscription for it — organic snacks, make-up, liquor, dog treats, Japanese candy. The list is always growing. Frequent travelers can also find box subscriptions that will cater to their love of experiencing the world and being on the go. Here are a few that have the potential to spark your wanderlust.
Quarterly Co offers quarterly box subscriptions to fit almost any individual. They offer two different subscription packages curated specifically with travelers in mind — the Travel Noire subscription and the Fathom Box subscription. The Travel Noire subscription includes a selection of travel tools along with a personal letter, and is $75 every three months. Some of the past boxes have included the Anywhere Travel Guide, the Point It book and airline promo codes. The Fathom Box features travel items that are just as handy abroad as they are at home, ranging from skincare products to cord organizers to travel adapters for $100 every three months.
If you’d rather receive a box every month, Escape Monthly delivers exactly what you need to plan your next trip while simultaneously pampering yourself with destination-specific products. Their Paris box featured Rick Steves’ Pocket Paris Travel Guide, alongside an assortment of French cookies, preserves and candies. The California box brought subscribers a guide to California wine country, a Redwood tree growing kit and San Francisco-made granola, among other things. With a new destination each month, you’ll always be surprised. They offer two price options — the regular size box for $50 or the mini for $25.
If you have a world-curious tot on your hands, Little Passports is a great way to spread the love of travel to the younger members of your family. They offer three different packages based on age: Early Explores for ages 3–5, the World Edition for ages 6–10 and the USA Edition for ages 7–12. Each monthly kit focuses on one destination and includes souvenirs and educational materials for only $13 each month.
The GlobeIn monthly Artisan Gift Box will bring you all the items you wish you had picked up on your journeys, but sadly left behind. Each month you’ll receive a selection of global, artisan-created products from all over the world. Rather than having each box themed after a specific destination, the boxes have a different one-word theme every month, from Refresh to Kitchen to Sustain. Products featured have included Mexican palm leaf baskets, Indonesian coconut sugar and Israeli Dead Sea soaps. The subscription service is only $35 a month.
