Fantasy-inspired bar and restaurant The Cauldron announced its Halloween programming for its Philadelphia location this month. The Cauldron Philly transforms into a spooky wonderland, complete with a festive drink menu and Halloween-inspired activities.
Through Oct. 31, bring friends along to try the Spooktacular Potions Experience. This nearly two-hour event includes a mug of warm HallowCream Cider upon arrival, followed by guests brewing two cocktails of their choice. One of the brews includes a limited-edition, brew-your-own potion called Blood of Your Enemies.
This fun concoction offers a twist on a raspberry vodka martini, made with DIY homemade spheres of white chocolate, created through a process called “reverse spherification,” similar to the process in making bubble tea. Guests then squeeze drips of “Creamed Unicorn” into a sodium alginate bath, which cooks by a chemical reaction to form squishy spheres and shapes almost too eerily similar to maggots. This experience starts at $54.99 per person and can be booked here.
Other events at The Cauldron Philly include a zombie dinner, a family-friendly pumpkin carving session, crystal skull bottle painting, a Hocus Pocus-themed costume contest, and Dungeons & Drag Queens soiree.
The Cauldron Philly invites guests of all ages to experience a pumpkin-carving session. These sessions run Oct. 15, 22, 23, 29 and 30, last 45 minutes and include carving materials, one pre-shelled pumpkin per ticket and The Cauldron’s specialty HallowCream Cider (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic versions available). Book a session here.
Paint your own crystal skull Oct. 26, 8–10 p.m. This two-hour arts and crafts event starts at $25 per person and includes one empty bottle of Crystal Head Vodka, paint supplies, a welcome cocktail featuring Crystal Head Vodka and a complimentary Crystal Head shot glass. Book here.
