New to New York City this month, The Deco Food + Drink comes as the Big Apple’s newest food hall, expanding on the culinary trend currently taking the foodie world by storm. Located in the Garment District, a commercial Midtown neighborhood previously not known for quality cuisine, The Deco will host nine food vendors and one bar specializing in New York beers and spirits in a casual Deco-designed space on West 39th Street. CEO and founder Doris Huang’s aim for the hall is simple: to create an approachable and engaging dining experience that provides a platform for local restaurateurs. Unlike most other neighborhood options serving as lunch counters for the area’s busy office dwellers, The Deco will be open seven days per week with the bar open late.

The Deco will be home to two new concepts from the celebrated team of Maman, including the debut of the new café, Mademoiselle by Maman, and Papa Poule, offering a heartier menu than traditional Maman favorites. Antojitos Caseros will serve authentic Mexican recipes with handmade tortillas, East Village favorite Little Tong Noodle Shop will offer its first Chinese breakfast at its Deco outpost, and Mani in Pasta will unveil a new Deco Pizza exclusively for this location. Look out also for creative Hawai’ian cuisine from Huli Huli (hello, Spam fried rice!). Finally, for the first month only, don’t miss your chance to finish any meal with a scoop of liquor-infused ice cream from the Tipsy Scoop pop-up shop (with non-alcoholic treats available, too, of course.).
