Nestled in the atmospheric North Laines, this pub does great Thai food at a bargain price.
From the outside, The Eagle looks like any other pub in Brighton. Step inside, though, and you’ll be greeted by the smell of Thai cooking. With two courses for just $10, you’ll struggle to find a better deal in the city. There is a wide range of noodle and rice dishes, with plenty of choice for vegetarians and meat lovers alike, and it’s the perfect food for when you’ve had a few drinks.
Service is fast and efficient, and you can eat at any of the tables dotted around the pub. If you are looking for a quick, informal meal while on an outing, this is a great spot. Book ahead if you are in a large group or just turn up and find a perch. It’s far better than one of the local takeaways, and things get pretty lively in the evening for those who want to party into the night.
You can get a two-course set menu for $10 and a drink is around $5 from the bar. Once you’re done, there are lots of other bars and pubs in the nearby Laines that will keep you entertained for hours.
