Back in 2011, Jawbone did with portable speakers what Beats did for headphones — make them a household name. While Beats reinvigorated the headphone market, there wasn’t anyone taking advantage of the demand for Bluetooth speakers until the release of the Jambox.
The speakers feature Jawbone’s classic grill designs and simple metal housing, making it stand out from the plethora of boring Bluetooth speakers on the market. Each model has a variety of colors and grill patterns available, with the company claiming more than 100 combinations. Features include volume and track controls, aux in, USB charging and an app that can interface with your Spotify, Rdio or iTunes library.
Jawbone went on to release a Big and Mini version of the Jambox for those looking for a bigger sound or those who need speakers portable enough to fit in their pockets. The Big focuses on sound quality and definition while maintaining a relatively compact design, whereas the Mini goes for sheer portability, though you’ll be hard pressed to find a speaker that size which sounds just as good. Both models have at least 10 hours of battery life, You can learn more about the Jambox at jawbone.com.
