While kayaking can be a rewarding experience for those with trucks or SUVs, those with less capable vehicles are often left with no way of transporting these vessels. Luckily, the craftsmen at the newly founded Oru designed a modern boat able to be transported by cars of any shape or size. Their foldable kayak starts as a condensed package, small enough to be carried under the user’s arm, and can expand into a professional sea craft within minutes.

The Bay ($1,275), Oru’s original folding kayak, is a 12-foot-long design and can collapse into a 26-pound box when not in use. This kayak includes a number of features like its watertight seams, adjustable backrest and dual rubber deck straps for hauling extra equipment. As with all Oru products, the Bay ships in about two to three weeks.
The Bay+ ($1,575) includes all features of the standard Bay, with additional modifications like a deck hatch to store the free water-resistant stowing bag. This model also includes a unique decal mural.

The Coast ($1,975) is much longer than the bay at 16 feet, and is modeled after the traditional kayaks of the Arctic. This boat is designed for experienced kayakers and glides across the water’s surface with exceptional stability and speed.
The Coast+ ($2,475) takes the technically superior design of the standard coast, while adding the extra comfort and storage features of the Bay+.
