The Trazees 2024

Let’s celebrate! We’re announcing the winners of our 2024 The Trazees, now in its 10th year. Congratulations to all the incredible winners in this milestone year! Trazee Travel is the resource for travelers aged 25–40 for the latest in travel. Readers selected their favorites in the world of travel during the voting period.

 

We’re taking off this year by honoring the airline winners: United Airlines wins its fifth consecutive Favorite International Airline, while its MileagePlus program earns its seventh Favorite Frequent-Flyer Program win. The Airbus A350 flies away with the Favorite Aircraft Type title.

 

Alaska Airlines’ alaskaair.com upset a long-time No. 1 to take Favorite Airline Website. Its airline alliance, oneworld, takes its third Favorite Airline Alliance nod.

 

Around the globe, we recognize airline winners doing it best in their respective regions, including Air Canada, Favorite Airline in North America, sixth consecutive year; COPA Airlines, Favorite Airline in South/Central America for the second consecutive year; TAP Air Portugal, Favorite Airline in Europe, seventh consecutive year; Royal Air Maroc, Favorite Airline in Africa; Etihad Airways, Favorite Airline in the Middle East; China Airlines, Favorite Airline in Asia; and Aeromexico, Favorite Airline in Mexico, fifth consecutive year. Delta Air Lines picks up a duo of awards: Favorite Airline App honors for the third consecutive year and Favorite Green Airline, two years running.

 

As premium economy class continues to surge in popularity, we’re honoring those airlines who do it best in each region. This year’s class of winners includes Air Premia, Favorite Premium Economy Class, Asia; Air France, Favorite Premium Economy Class, Europe, for the second consecutive year; LATAM Airlines, Favorite Premium Economy Class, South/Central America, two years in a row; and another appearance by Delta Air Lines as Favorite Premium Economy Class, United States, also for the second year.

Most trips start and end in an airport, and here are those that reign supreme. iGA Istanbul Airport takes three awards this year: Favorite Overall Airport in the World and Favorite Duty-Free Shopping in Europe, both for the third consecutive year, and Favorite Airport in Europe for the first time. A few other airports are double winners: Cape Town International Airport upset a long-time winner to be named Favorite Airport in Africa and Favorite Duty-Free Shopping in Africa; Bogotá El Dorado International Airport claims Favorite Airport in South/Central America for the sixth consecutive year and Favorite Duty-Free Shopping in South/Central America, four years in a row; and Dubai Duty Free wins Favorite Duty-Free Shopping for the second consecutive year and its third Favorite Duty-Free Shopping in the Middle East. Incheon International Airport scooped up the Favorite Airport in Asia accolade, while Singapore Changi Airport takes its second nod as Favorite Duty-Free Shopping in Asia.

 

Four more airport winners earned kudos this year, including Hamad International Airport, Favorite Airport in the Middle East for the third consecutive year; Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, Favorite Airport in North America, second straight year; Chicago O’Hare International Airport, Favorite Airport Dining, five years running; and Miami International Airport, Favorite Airport Shopping.

 

Next up are some incredible hotel honorees. Aman New York takes top honors as Favorite Individual Hotel. Marriott scores three wins on this year’s survey as Favorite Hotel Chain for Marriott Hotels for the second consecutive year; Marriott.com, Favorite Hotel Website, three years in a row; and Marriott Bonvoy, four times running, Favorite Hotel Rewards Program in the World. Next up is Autograph Collection Hotels, Favorite Lifestyle Hotel Chain, for the second straight year, followed by Aman Resorts, Hotels & Residences, Favorite Hotel Chain in Asia, also a second-time win. Favorite Green Hotel goes to Aloft for the fourth year.

 

Fiesta Americana Travelty Collection takes its milestone 10th win for Favorite Hotel Chain in Mexico! Two more brands earn their second wins in their category: Rosewood Hotels & Resorts, Favorite Hotel Chain in Europe; and Hyatt, Favorite Hotel App. And two other brands debut in their categories: Raffles Hotels & Resorts, Favorite Hotel Chain in the Middle East; and Accor Hospitality, Favorite Hotel Chain in South/Central America.

What destinations can now claim to be award-winning? Greece is named Favorite Country for the fifth consecutive year, and Seoul wins Favorite Worldwide City for the third year in a row. Bermuda upset a four-time winner to snag Favorite Honeymoon Destination. Taiwan is Favorite Adventure Destination, two years running, and New Orleans, Louisiana, posts a second win for Favorite Foodie City. Nashville, Tennessee, earns Friendliest City honors.

THE PROCESS

Trazeetravel.com conducted a survey of its readers Aug. 15, 2023–April 16, 2024, with open-ended questions for the best in many categories important to the millennial travel market (under 40 years of age). This survey was conducted at trazeetravel.com/the-trazees and emailed during the period in question. Only those questionnaires where more than 50 percent of the questions were completed were counted. Those with less than 50 percent answered were discarded. Employees of the magazine or individuals associated with the travel industry were not able to participate in the survey.
