Harvest Hosts, a membership program offering RVers access to more than 5,000 unique camping locations, recently announced the launch of its Cow Cuddling internship program for the summer. The internship offers a one-of-a-kind opportunity for people to immerse themselves in the therapeutic practice of cuddling with cows while contributing to their well-being.
Cow Cuddling interns will engage in a journey of compassion and care, curating cow cuddling experiences at various Harvest Hosts locations across the country. Interns are also responsible for training emotional support cows at local farms in order to help them feel comfortable and safe for human interaction.
“The Cow Cuddling internship isn’t just about cows – it’s about fostering connections, promoting animal welfare, and creating unforgettable mooments,” said Joel Holland, CEO, Harvest Hosts. “Through this udderly amazing opportunity, we aim to provide not only hands-on experience but also steer personal growth and enrichment for the intern as well as our community of Hosts. Other responsibilities of interns include:
- Providing gentle cuddling sessions for cows to promote relaxation and stress relief
- Training emotional animals
- Assisting with feeding and grooming
- Helping out around the farm
- Participating in educational programs for visitors
- Promoting animal welfare and care
Candidate qualifications include:
- Love and dedication to animals
- Interpersonal skills and enthusiasm for teamwork
- Commitment to safety protocols
- Willing to travel to multiple Harvest Hosts locations
- Previous experience with animal or farm work
