Breckenridge, Colorado

Breckenridge is a town in Colorado at the base of the Rocky Mountains. This ski resort has a great deal of activities for visitors year-round. It is the most popular ski location in the United States and has nearly 3,000 acres of terrain across 187 trails. The snowfall during the winter is bound to make the experience even more exuberant and is a great location for first-time skiers and experts. Aside from skiing, the nightlife of the downtown is great. The town has beautiful sunsets and star-filled skies for stargazers.

 

Aspen, Colorado

Aspen is a popular location in the winter for snow and ski lovers. There are 306 marked trails across 5,285 acres of terrain. The terrain is diverse and welcomes new and expert skills. This location is 220 miles south of Denver, has a legendary nightlife scene, picturesque mountains and high-end shopping retailers. The best time to visit is from December to February, when the town is covered with snow and prime time to hit the slopes. It can be expensive, and spots fill up fast, so take heed to book your trip months in advance.

 

Park City, Utah

Park City is the largest ski resort in the United States, with 7,300 acres. The destination is 35 minutes away from Salt Lake City International Airport. The city and state live up to the signature slogan of “The Greatest Snow on Earth.” The town has a free transit system, and a vibrant nightlife with more than 150 bars and restaurants. There is a variety of resorts for visitors and there are a lot of options for non-skiers, including dogsledding, snow biking and tubing.
