The world’s biggest trade show for marijuana is coming to Negril, Jamaica, this year, in addition to a few stops in the United States. Whichever Cannabis Cup you’re going to, follow these tips to make the most of your trip.
Watch Your Feet
Cannabis Cups have a lot of different things to see, from musical acts to horticulture workshops, so get the information ahead of time and plan your day. The events are spread out and crowded, so wear a good pair of shoes and be prepared to walk.
Show and Tell
Be friendly to the booth people, many of whom are giving away swag. Take some time and listen to what they have to say; that person you strike up a conversation with might be a lead for a cool event, or at the very least you can score some free stuff.
Be Safe
Considering this whole event is dedicated to a controlled substance, it goes without saying you should exert some legal caution. Drug inspection checkpoints are a guarantee, and there will always be those guys asking if you can sell. They’re either police or incredibly foolish attendees so best to stay on the safe side and avoid these types.
Pace Yourself
With so much to see and do, it can be easy to get burnt out. Plan some breaks through your day. Storing some snacks in your car can be a good idea to avoid the expensive options inside; check your individual Cannabis Cup to see if it allows re-entry or outside food.
