Tips / Travel

Instagram is one of the best tools for sharing your travel experiences, whether you’re snapping pictures on ocean-side cliffs or exploring the mountains. Instagram has all the beautiful places to discover and someone is always going somewhere. And, while your big-brim hats and plain white t-shirts have certainly received their stage time, it’s time to give them a break for your next trip.

In an effort to help you prep for your selfie, we put together a guide for next trip. Up ahead, all the travel essentials to pack for Instagram-worthy pictures and the best vacation ever.

Sunglasses

Adding a pair of sunnies is the perfect cover-up for jet lag or a late night out. Taking a selfie slightly above your eye line with your hand on your hip can make for an ideal snapshot. Don’t forget the SPF!

Pop of Color

Playing with muted tones of neutral colors like browns and grays with a pop of color is ideal for photographing against a simple background. Add the pop color to your shorts or jacket or anything! If you’re traveling to the big city, stick to one solid color with the busy background. Whenever possible, stick to lightweight fabrics – bulking clothing will make you look bigger than you really are.

Floppy Hats

This is a staple piece to any packing checklist. A floppy hat will prep you for everything from desert getaways to Alaskan cruises. You wear this almost everyday for any adventure. Make sure to elongate your neck to avoid the potential of a double chin snap.

These cool combos will keep you looking chic whether you’re breaking out the teepee for the weekend or tucked away in a comfy bed. Enjoy!
