African Film Festival
In its 22nd year, the mission of the African Film Festival is advancing an enhanced understanding of African culture through the moving image. The Film Society of Lincoln Center, Maysles Cinema Institute and BAMcinématek serve as venues for the screenings and events.
Big Apple Film Festival
Held annually in the fall, the Big Apple Film Festival showcases independent films from the New York community as well as additional films from around the world. Watch a selection of films year-round on the BAFF website with BAFF On Demand.
JAPAN CUTS
Presented by the Japan Society, the largest festival of new Japanese film in North America celebrates its ninth year this summer. All film genres are represented during this 10-day festival. Attend screenings, themed parties, award ceremonies and live music performances.
New York Film Festival
The New York Film Festival celebrates its 53rd year in 2015. Presented by the Film Society of Lincoln Center, this prestigious festival features international selections, restored classics, special events, filmmaker talks and panel discussions.
Tribeca Film Festival
Founded in 2002 by Jane Rosenthal, Craig Hatkoff and Robert DeNiro, the spring festival celebrates international and independent filmmakers. In addition to screenings of narrative features, documentaries and short films, the festival presents panels with filmmakers and awards for films screened. Festival ticket packages are available.
