A few weeks ago, a group of friends and I went to Topgolf in Mount Laurel, New Jersey, for a friend’s birthday. We have wanted to go for a while now, so it was the perfect excuse.
On the drive, we blasted some of our favorite songs and got pumped up and excited for Topgolf. Our time slot was scheduled for 3 p.m., but we arrived a bit early. Even though we were early, they were waiting for us and our bays were ready.
There were six people to a bay and each person got about 20 balls to hit per game; you could play multiple games within your timespan. When it was your turn, you could choose basically whatever club you wanted to use.
Throughout our two-hour timespan, we had delicious foods like chicken tenders, burger sliders, tater tots, donut holes and much more. There was also a full bar, so we were able to order delicious drinks of all kinds.
For most of us, it was our first time, so it was interesting to see who was good and who wasn’t — to my surprise, I wasn’t half bad.
Even though it was nerve-wracking going to a public place during the pandemic, I felt comfortable at Topgolf. Each bay was separated from the other with a plastic covering, and you had to wear a mask.
Our time went by so fast, I wish we could have been there longer. It was a nice little break from the world and everything going on. I can’t wait to go back!
