TRANSFIX, the world’s largest touring immersive art experience, officially opened to the public at Resorts World Las Vegas on April 21. The experience features more than 50 interactive, kinetic, illuminated and fire-breathing works by international artists. These pieces span 200,000 square feet over multiple levels.
Running through September, TRANSFIX includes designs unlike any other. Visitors embark on a journey from the moment they enter, weaving through a 2-acre labyrinth of fascinating artwork.
From monolithic, shapeshifting kinetics to mind-melting video installations, each piece in the experience seeks to transport visitors to another world both physically and mentally. Large-scale, fire-breathing installations and hypnotic tunnels also feature within the space. Through May 5, TRANSFIX hosts Duane Flatmo’s El Pulpo Magnifico, one of Burning Man’s most famous art cars. This spectacular piece comprises a giant, mechanical, fire-breathing octopus at a staggering 25 feet tall. The octopus’s eyes pop in and out and its tentacles rise and lower while blasting flames 30 feet into the air.
On May 12, TRANSFIX partners with ART WITH ME, an organization known for international festivals. This collaboration culminates in a night of music and art called DANCE WITH ME, in which partygoers will enjoy exclusive live performances across three music stages, all accompanied by art installations.
Within the space also lie 10 artist-designed bars and speakeasies, including Control No Control, Shrumen Lumen and Hand of Man. Each spot offers exclusive and signature cocktails.
Founded by Michael Blatter and Tom Stinchfield, TRANSFIX hopes to build future art experiences across the globe, further connecting people and artists and inspiring creativity. TRANSFIX is open Tuesday–Thursday (7 p.m.–midnight) and Friday–Sunday (7 p.m.–1 a.m.). Purchase tickets here.
