Wish there was a better alternative to Uber? Wish you could get from one travel destination to the next, but do a little sightseeing along the way — and without renting a car? Daytrip might be exactly what you’re looking for.
This unique service ferries you and your luggage from door to door, city to city, as you travel. However, along the way, you have the option to enjoy some local, driver-led sightseeing. All you do to book is enter your starting and ending destinations, and your desired travel day, and then you have the option to pick your driver’s vehicle, as well as sightseeing stops you can visit along the route. For example, during a trip from New York City to Baltimore, Maryland, sightseeing stop options include Grounds for Sculpture, Mercer Museum and Fonthill Castle, Jones Beach State Park, Six Flags Great Adventure, and Longwood Gardens. Sightseeing stops can last just an hour, or several hours.
Though launched in Europe, Daytrip is now available in more than 130 countries worldwide. Most recently, Daytrip expanded service into Arizona.
“Known for its deserts, canyons and stunning natural beauty, there’s plenty to discover in Arizona’s vast landscape. The Arizona Office of Tourism recorded 45.2 million overnight visits statewide in 2023, up from 40.19 million in 2022. The over 12 percent increase year-over-year is projected to grow even further for the year 2024! There could have been no better choice for Daytrip’s next USA expansion,” said Lucio William Fontana, head of expansion, Daytrip.
