Go where few have gone and see what few have seen before on a Mojave Desert-exploring adventure from Austin Adventures, offering participants the chance to explore the largest national park in the lower 48 states by foot, bike, Jeep and dark-skies gazing.
The historic Furnace Creek Resort in Death Valley National Park and Austin Adventures partnered to provide a five-day, four-night vacation in one of the most beautiful and extreme places on earth. Kicking off with a drive from Las Vegas to Death Valley National Park, the Death Valley Adventure Vacation features daily activities including hiking in Badwater Basin, North America’s lowest point; walking through the curves of the Mesquite Dunes at sunset; four-wheeling through Titus Canyon by Jeep; enjoying vistas from Dante’s View; cruising down 25 miles of Coffin Mountain; and relaxing at the Inn at Furnace Creek, where ‘49ers once stopped en route to the gold fields.
Nestled in the mountainside between Los Angeles and Las Vegas, the upscale Inn at Furnace Creek offers 66 guestrooms, fine dining venues, verandas with sweeping views of Death Valley, lush gardens, a spring-fed pool, tennis courts and the lowest golf course in the Western Hemisphere.
The first Death Valley Adventure Vacation takes place Feb. 15–19, with four other departures scheduled in February and March. With rates starting from $2,798, the program includes most meals, safety equipment, bikes and guides.
