Looking for a new addition to your traveling crew’s game night? Consider Trip Chaser.
A card game with a travel focus, Trip Chaser was created by avid travelers Dalene and Pete Heck, and inspired by their own adventures. So, how does it work?
The goal of the game is to travel to different destinations. You’ll earn points based on how difficult it is to reach a destination from North America, and the key is to get as many points as possible.
As you’re playing, you’ll draw and trade cards, representing destinations, events and money. In order to “travel” to a destination, you’ll have to acquire matching destination cards and the amount of money required to visit that destination, as indicated on the destination card.
However, be careful of the event cards, which can trip you up; event cards come into play once you’re ready to “travel,” and represent positive and negative events that occur during your trip. A negative event — which could’ve been easily mitigated by purchasing travel insurance — can drain your bank account and send you home.
The game ends when no more destination cards are available. The individual with the most points wins. Gameplay takes about 60 minutes.
Trip Chaser starts at $26.99 and is suitable for two–six players, and players aged 10 or older. Find it here.
