Start your day in Atlantic City with breakfast at Teplitzky’s at The Chelsea Hotel. The retro-inspired décor feels like a traditional New Jersey diner. They serve up all of the breakfast basics including pancakes, omelets and egg platters. If you wake up early enough, try the early bird special for $5.99 from 7–9 a.m.
In the warmer weather, take advantage of Atlantic City’s free beach access. Catch some sun and waves and go for a stroll along the boardwalk. Or take a trip to Brigantine Beach. A short drive from Atlantic City, these beaches are less crowded than the hustle and bustle near the casinos.
Open daily until 3 a.m., Tony’s Baltimore Grill is perfect for a quick Italian lunch. Pizza and spaghetti are among the most popular items. You are less likely to see droves of tourists at this divey spot. Spend about $15 on lunch.
Work off your lunch with some retail exercise. The Pier Shops at Caesars and the Tangier Outlets offer dozens of shops and outlets including Apple, Coach, Louis Vuitton, Michael Kors and Tiffany & Co.
For a quintessential Atlantic City seafood experience, have dinner at Dock’s Oyster House. Open since 1897, Dock’s is known for its namesake oysters and raw bar selections. Other seafood and steakhouse favorites fill out the menu.
If you’re in the gambling mood, try your luck at one of the city’s many casinos. Bally’s, Caesars, Resorts, Trump Taj Mahal and Tropicana are located near the boardwalk and Harrah’s, Borgata and Golden Nugget are near the marina. Or check the event schedule at your favorite casino to see concerts, comedy shows and other performances.
