Whether you’re going on vacation or moving across the country, there are times you’ll need to bring your pet along. For those pets unable to ride inside the aircraft cabin, United’s PetSafe program is an easy and safe way for your pet to get where they need to go.
The airport-to-airport transfer guarantees your pet a confirmed booking before departure. You arrive at the airport, check-in at least two hours in advance and hand over your pet to the trained and knowledgeable staff. Animals are kept in a climate-controlled warehouse facility until boarding, then are the last cargo loaded into the specially pressurized compartment and the first cargo unloaded upon arrival. You can even track your pet’s location throughout the entire process. Your pet will be waiting for you at a dedicated pick-up location at the airport when you arrive.
If you have any questions at all before or during your PetSafe experience, a 24-hour PetSafe service desk is available to assist you. PetSafe program rates depend on the combined weight of your pet and its kennel, as well as your destination. A handy online chart lists all your options.
