Vela, The Electric Bike That Looks Like a Vintage Cruiser

For an alternative to gas-guzzling cars and traffic jams, turn to Vela Bikes, an electric bike created as a sustainable solution for the inefficient urban commute.

Lightweight and carefully designed for the city, Vela looks like a vintage cruiser but is really an electric bike with a powerful electric engine helping bikers go up very steep paths and commute farther with more ease. With a 350w engine, the bike offers up to four times the power of a regular cyclist.

Inside the bike’s pretty steel fame is a Li-ion removable battery, giving owners at least 20 miles or range and the promise it will last for many years.

Another convenient feature you will not find in any regular cruiser is a USB port on the bike’s main panel, offering riders the convenient ability to charge while biking to their next destination, as well as a battery life LED indicator and a direct port for charging Vela without the need to remove its battery.

Similar to cars, Vela also has its own security system and a headlight. If anyone else tries to ride your bike, an internal 100 dB motion-sensitive sound alarm is activated. Vela’s LED headlight is designed to lighten up the street and brighten your path, and because it is connected to the main system, there is no need to charge or replace its batteries.
