Visit Greater Palm Springs, along with Visit California and Kind Traveler, partner on a regenerative travel program. The program prioritizes sustainability and community impact. Visit Greater Palm Springs and participating hotel and charity partners work to empower responsible travelers and positively impact the community.
According to the Kind Traveler 2022 Impact Tourism Report, more than 97 percent of travelers stated the importance of their vacation spending positively impacting the communities they visit.
“The Greater Palm Springs region has long attracted residents and visitors who are passionate about our destination’s commitment to sustainable tourism,” said Scott White, president and CEO, Visit Greater Palm Springs. “Today’s partnership with Kind Traveler underscores the importance of what it means for travelers to give back to local communities while helping to create a sustainable tourism industry for the future.”
Here’s how it works: Using Kind Traveler’s Give + Get hotel booking and media platform, travelers have access to exclusive offers from participating hotels when they donate $10 or more to Friends of the Desert Mountains, LGBTQ Community Center of the Desert or to another charity of choice on the platform. Participating properties also offer opportunities for guests to learn about local sustainable practices.
