W Punta de Mita ups the hospitality game in Mexico with the recent completion of an extensive, multimillion-dollar renovation. Already a force to be reckoned with in Riviera Nayarit, the stunning property now raises the standards with its jungle view guestrooms, oceanfront suites, restaurants and more.
The newly redesigned living room and welcome area sets the stage for the vibe of the property, providing guests with a fun gathering spot complete with modern furnishings decorated with handmade native artwork. A brand-new boutique, La Caty, also comes to the resort, allowing guests to explore works by local designers.
In addition to this new space, W Punta de Mita also features redesigned interiors with hammocks and cozy spaces for relaxing. These hammocks lie next to a bar illuminated with a stunning chandelier that looks more like a church ofrenda with votive candles. A runway in the space, which stretches out to the ocean with a set of stairs, comprises more than 750,000 mosaic tiles, with designs inspired by the local Wixarika tribe.
Upon first walking into the resort’s accommodations, guests are met with sweeping coastal and ocean views. Within the room, guests also find custom décor sourced from local artisans, further immersing guests in the traditions of local tribes. The Huichol tribe shines through with bursts of color in unique patterns and designs. The jungle rooms lay hidden among layers of palm trees. Recently redesigned, these spaces now include new plunge pools, outdoor showers, hammocks and plush loungers. The redesigned Haven Suites now feature private terraces.
The chic vibes don’t stop there. At Wet TOO, the adults-only pool known for its transparent wall facing the ocean, guests can enjoy the redesigned pool deck, new boho-inspired furnishings and new full-service food and beverage offerings. Next spring, W Punta de Mita will open Rubra, a restaurant by Mexican celebrity chef Daniela Soto-Innes.
