Finding an awesome vacation rental or hotel is the easiest part of booking a vacation. Landing a deal on airfare is the hardest part with how quickly ticket prices can fluctuate. Check out these websites for the best deals before booking directly.
For travelers looking for a deal of a lifetime to destinations you can only dream of, try Scott’s Cheap Flights. A team of deal hunters scour the internet for amazing prices. The Elite member status includes mistake fares, where an airline types the wrong price for a flight making a first-class, round-trip ticket to Italy that usually costs $8,000 to $800. Travelers pick their preferred departure airport and begin to receive deals to their email right away. The flight experts monitor deals daily so your weekend without plans can now become an impulsive trip to Honolulu for less than $400.
One of the more well-known cheap flight websites, Skyscanner keeps travelers updated on when to book for their preferred destination. Like any other flight search engine, users type in departure city, arrival city dates and cabin class. As prices fluctuate, Skyscanner will send emails on their predictions if it is the best time to book or if you should hold off for a couple days. Along with flights, this website can also track hotel and car rental deals.
Similar to Skyscanner, Hopper predicts when the best time to book a flight will be. Hopper includes a “freeze” if you want to save the price you saw without it fluctuating while you figure out your plans. The freeze option gives you 14 extra days with that price point for a small fee. Hopper is an app on your phone so you can check prices anytime, anywhere.
