Big Sky, Montana, comes alive in summer with beloved traditions and new events on its bustling scene. Here’s a look at what’s to come:
Events
New this season, Savor Big Sky is a food, wine and spirits festival, held June 29–July 2. Events merge fine food and beverage with the outdoors, offerings samples from wineries, distilleries and breweries alongside activities like hiking and chairlift rides.
Another new event is Tuesday Tastings, with complimentary samples of wine or spirits and live music at Big Sky Resort. Elevated Wellness also hosts cycling and yoga.
Golf
Big Sky Resort Golf Course is now open, weather dependent. Reserve tee times and golf memberships online now.
At the course, Bunker Deck and Grill opens daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Biking and Scenic Chairlift Rides
Lift-serviced downhill mountain biking offers trails for all levels. Three aerial lifts — Swift Current 6, Ramcharger 8 and Explorer — operate for biking and scenic rides June 10–Sept. 17, 10 a.m.–5 p.m.
Basecamp Activities and More
Summer activities include Nature and Adventure Ziplines, guided hikes, guided scenic lift tours, an Escape Room, bungee trampoline, giant swing, gemstone mining, mini-golf and the climbing wall. All activities debut June 10, based on weather.
For dining, opening on June 10, visitors find Vista Hill, Vista Bar, Westward Social, Chet’s Bar and Grill, Carabiner and Mochia in the Huntley. The Umbrella Bar in Mountain Village opens July 1.
And The Summit Hotel and Huntley Lodge welcome guests for summer on June 10.
