Expat Insider recently revealed the results of its annual survey of the most welcoming countries for expats from 2017. The in-depth analysis features data collected from more than 12,500 respondents living in 188 countries or territories around the world.
The ranking is based on countries with a friendly attitude toward expats, ease of making local friends and likelihood to stay indefinitely.
Top 10
On the other side, unwelcoming countries include Kuwait, Austria, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Finland, Denmark and Saudi Arabia. The top five cities for expats in 2017 were Manama, Prague, Madrid, Kuala Lumpur and Amsterdam. The bottom five cities were Lagos, Jeddah, Paris, Riyadh and Dublin.
