San Diego’s Hornblower Cruises & Events launched their seasonal Blue Whale Watching Adventures cruises, offering sea creature enthusiasts the chance to enjoy close encounters with whales, dolphins, sea lions and sea birds through Sept. 6.
Daily tours depart from the convenient downtown location of Embarcadero at 970 North Harbor Drive, with boarding scheduled for 8:45 a.m. For the price of $75 per person, guests enjoy a sea excursion from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. For a limited time, Hornblower features a Splash Sale, offering two tickets for $99.
After boarding one of the fleet’s comfortable yachts, guests speed out to sea, passing barking sea lions and pods of leaping dolphins while searching for legendary blue whales. The four-hour tour offers live narration from an experienced captain and on-board naturalist from the San Diego Natural History Museum.
The yacht features a number of amenities both indoor and outdoor so guests can enjoy both environments. Facilities include comfortable seating as well as a snack bar featuring hot food, a full bar and souvenirs.
Headquartered in California for 35 years, Hornblower Cruises & Events is a leading charter yacht and public dining cruise operator, operating more than 70 vessels, including the three largest dining yachts on the West Coast.
Check out the Captain’s Log of Marine Life Sightings to preview what guests can expect to see on an upcoming cruise.
