The Incline Railway
For the best views in the city, take a ride up Chattanooga’s Lookout Mountain via the world’s steepest passenger railway. The funicular railway is more than a century old and provides spectacular views of the surrounding area.
Reflection Riding Arboretum and Nature Center
If you’d rather stay a bit closer to sea level and heights aren’t your thing, stick to the base of Lookout Mountain, where you’ll find Reflection Riding Arboretum and Nature Center. The wildlife sanctuary features more than 300 acres of hiking trails and water sports.

Chattanooga Riverboat Co.
To see fall foliage from the water, be sure to book a ride on Chattanooga Riverboat Co.’s Southern Belle Riverboat. You’ll find daytime sightseeing cruises, as well as sunset cruises, on offer.
Enterprise South Nature Park
This newer park spans 2,800 acres and lies just minutes from downtown. There you’ll find lots of outdoor fall fun, including 4.5 miles of hiking trails, 10 miles of mountain biking trails, a driving loop, historical exhibits and more.
