Why Spotify is the Only Music You Need

Spotify isn’t new to anyone on Earth with an Internet connection. But have you considered that perhaps Spotify is all the music you need for your next trip? All you have to do is open the app and you can have all the music you want at your fingertips.

Well, except Taylor Swift.

But consider the following: All of your music is already there in the digital world without taking up space on your phone’s memory. You can update, change, delete or replace songs, artists and playlists without having to worry you won’t be able to listen to it again until you get back home. You can load local files into Spotify as well — that means you don’t have to forgo the Beatles or one of the other three bands that don’t have their music on Spotify. And it’s free.

Here’s the catch: As long as you have internet access all of the above works perfectly. If you don’t, you’ll be paying data rates to listen to music or unable to listen at all. Spotify works anywhere, but free users are limited to 14 days of travel time, though they can make an account in the country they are in. And users with mobile phones can’t play music on demand.

The solution is Spotify Premium. Premium users can download music to their device and listen offline. They also get ad-free listening and mobile phone users get the full package — that means listening to the song you want, when you want, just like using Spotify on the computer. Premium costs about $10 a month, or the price of one album of music.

Finally, if you’re traveling for a few weeks, try the Premium free trial for 30 days and get all the advantages without the cost.
