What better way to end a workout than with a celebratory glass of wine at the finish line?
The oenophiles at Wicked Wine Run launched a series of running events through popular, award-winning vineyards across the United States rewarding participants with not only free vino at the end of the race but also during the race.
Wine and running enthusiasts have a choice of two races: a 5k run with complimentary wine at the finish or a 1k walk with four wine-tasting stops along the route. Participants also have the option to enjoy both events.
Runners are encouraged to dress up in funky costumes and don masks while running and imbibing for the chance to win the event’s costume contest.
Post run, jog or walk, participants can stick around to enjoy a live band, food trucks and more wine. Included in the registration price is a race shirt as well as access to the after party. The event also rewards designated drivers with complimentary soda and water.
Races this year are taking place in locations across the country, including Austin, Dallas, Lubbock, Houston, El Paso, Galveston, Midland, San Angelo, Fresno, Los Angeles, Monterrey, Napa, Santa Barbara, Temecula, St. Louis, Las Vegas, New Orleans, Santa Fe, Portland and Seattle.
Cheers!

This year, the Northern Lights put on quite the display across Ireland, but don’t think these lights are the only thing you can see in Ireland. Ireland has three International Dark Sky Parks and even more spots which, although not accredited, are worth a visit for anyone wishing to see the sky in its unfiltered form.
