Napa Valley Wine Train announced the 2022 lineup for its popular Murder Mystery Tour in partnership with The Murder Mystery Company, the largest U.S. theatrical company. Through October, the tours include multiple themes, encouraging passengers to don creative costumes to try their hand at solving clues and murders.
Some of the themes include a trip to the 1920s with the “Death of a Gangster” experience and the “I love the’80s to Death” tour. In the “Death of a Gangster” tour, guests are encouraged to come wearing tassel skirts, pinstripe suites, feather boas and sequin headbands.
The train will also feature a variety of new themes and suggested attire for the 2022 lineup. Other themes will include Hollywood glamour in “Best Laid Plans,” wedding attire for “Till Death Do Us Part,” ‘50s-era clothing for “A Dance with Death,” and evening suits, ballgowns and masks for the all-new “Midnight Masquerade.”

Aboard the train, guests on the two-hour journey will enjoy a multicourse gourmet dinner from Executive Chef Rodrigo Cuadra and the train’s expert culinary team. The first course of the dinner includes a seasonal soup of the day, accompanied by a roasted beet salad with Skyhill Napa Valley Farm goat cheese, toasted pistachios and honey-tangelo vinaigrette.
The main course has four options: ricotta cheese gnocchi with leeks, mushrooms, porcini cream and parmesan cheese; herb-roasted chicken with caramelized sweet onion puree and pickled red onion ham; porcini-dusted beef tenderloin with cauliflower puree, smoked bacon, forest mushrooms and ruby port glaze; or the fresh catch of the day. Dessert will conclude the meal, with optional wine pairings available for purchase to accompany the dining experience.
