St. Patrick’s Day Festival in Dublin, Ireland

This national festival’s aim is to be one of the most revered in the world, and it undoubtedly has achieved that honor. Not only is St. Patrick’s Day celebrated with a citywide parade filled with bands and dancers from around the world, but visitors can revel in an array of events. You can participate in a treasure hunt, attend comedy shows and watch as some of the most iconic buildings in Dublin are lit up in green lights during the Greening of the City.

South Boston St. Patrick’s Day Parade

While Boston’s Irish pride shines in the city’s rich history, sports and cultural scene, it glows most brightly on St. Patrick’s Day as the parade weaves through South Boston, the “Irish neighborhood.” Revelry and good times are celebrated from dawn ‘til dusk in this part of the city.

St. Patrick’s Day Festival in Auckland, New Zealand

Auckland is a great place to celebrate Irish heritage. On the holiday, after the parade, The Fleadh (pronounced “fla”) is a showcase of traditional Irish music and dancing from local groups, and the annual Emerald Ball is a nightly celebration of Irish traditions in music, dancing and dining delicacies.
