Fort Worth, Texas, enters 2024 with a bang with new museum experiences, food tours, restaurants and more. Whether a foodie or a history buff, there’s something for everyone in Fort Worth this year.
Fort Worth Food & History Tour
In honor of Black History Month, Deah Berry Mitchell, founder, Soul of DFW Tours, leads an Origins of Black Cowboys food and history tour around the city. On this tour, learn the untold history of Black Cowboys across the Southwest while indulging in classic Texas BBQ and a private tequila tasting.
New Restaurants
Buena Vida Taqueria, led by chef and owner Alex Lines, puts a fun twist on his family’s heritage and Latin cuisine. Highlights include chile relleno, pork nopales and a birria pizza. Over at Bowie Hotel, head to the newly opened Bricks and Horses, a modern steakhouse serving Texas dishes with a sophisticated spin. Enjoy everything from lunch to brunch to dinner. Ralph’s Bar soon hits the city, sitting atop Crescent Hotel. The hotel also recently debuted Blue Room, an elevated dining space boasting caviar service, shellfish towers and more.
Fort Worth Food and Wine Festival
Running April 4–7, this year’s festival will feature nationally acclaimed restaurants. The festival celebrates the city’s vibrant community of talented chefs, brewers, distillers and culinary artisans through a variety of curated dinners and events.
New Exhibit at The National Cowgirl Museum & Hall of Fame
This March, this unique museum unveils an exhibit on Escaramuzas Charras, the only female equestrian event in the Mexican charrería where a team of women ride horses side-saddles in choreographed and synchronized maneuvers to traditional music. The exhibit will display saddles and matching tack, a photography series by Constance Jaeggi and more.
Brand-New Coffee Shop
