Go beyond the typical touristy spots in Tenerife and uncover a range of hidden wonders and off-the-beaten-path sites. You’ll not only avoid crowds but also discover something new and exciting.

Stargaze in Teide National Park

Eighty-three of 84 constellations can be seen in this national park, described as “the window to the universe” by NASA. Take part in a guided stargazing tour and use professional telescopes to explore the skies.

Explore Unique Towns

La Oratava sits among the verdant valleys in the center of Tenerife and features cobblestone streets lined with 17th– and 18th-century mansions. Balconies, grand gardens and courtyards at Higuelo del Botanico and Jardin Victoria reveal the town’s opulent past.

Garachico is another great spot to visit. Nearly destroyed by a volcano in the 18th century, this town is home to the original Church of Santa Ana, nearby natural pools formed by solidified lava flows and Castillo de San Miguel.

Journey to the Center of the Earth at Cueva del Viento

Head into one of the world’s largest lava tubes and glimpse into Tenerife’s prehistoric age. Guided tours reveal the cave’s story and ancient geological history among fossilized remains.

Hit the Water on a Catamaran or Dolphin Tour

See dolphins in their natural habitat or glide through the waters with Mar de Ons, one of Spain’s top-ranked marine tours. Tours focus on the protection of marine life, offering educational insights and an experience combining adventure with conservation.
