The second hotel project from The ROMEO Collection officially opens in Rome, Italy, bringing the final expression and project of the late architect Zaha Hadid to life. ROMEO Roma sits steps from Piazza di Popolo, occupying a building dating back to the late 16th century.

This historic palazzo was once a former home of the Noble Serroberti-Capponi family. Today, the structure will offer 75 guestrooms and suites, with some spaces adorned with original, 16th-century frescos. Each guestroom and suite features Carrara marble, lava stone, glass, solid wood and Krion. Some suites come with whirlpool tubs, hidden televisions and integrated fireplaces, as well as private terraces offering views of Rome’s rooftops. A focal point of the hotel, the noble floor houses rooms adorned with original historical frescos.

In addition to upscale accommodations, ROMEO Roma is home to a restaurant helmed by Michelin-starred Alain Ducasse. Il Ristorante Alain Ducasse Roma utilizes the finest Italian ingredients. Other on-site food and beverage venues include Il Cortile, a culinary and cocktail experience with ground-floor views of Roman archaeological remains. La Terrazza, meanwhile, is a rooftop lounge and bar.
Guests can indulge in a day of relaxation within the 13,000-square-foot wellness center, La Spa Sisley Paris. The spa pool alone stretches between indoor and outdoor areas and has been built with a transparent floor overlooking the archaeological site of the ancient Ripetta port.
